Most red light devices are panels you stand in front of. This one straps directly to the knee, shoulder, elbow or back, so the emitters sit against the skin rather than at a distance. Three modules run on one adjustable strap, each carrying both LED and laser emitters on two separate emission areas.

Each module carries 8 × 660nm deep-red LEDs and 10 × 808nm near-infrared laser diodes. The two emitter types behave differently: LEDs spread light across a wider area at lower intensity, while laser diodes emit a collimated beam that stays tighter over distance. Running both means the module covers a broad area and delivers a concentrated output from the same housing.

Output is 80mW per emission area for the deep-red LEDs and 5mW per laser diode, giving 50mW per module from the infrared lasers.

The infrared diodes are rated Class 1, the same classification given to the laser in a CD player or a supermarket scanner. Class 1 is the safest category in the international standard and means the device is considered safe under all normal conditions of use without protective eyewear. This matters because "laser" covers an enormous range, and the classification is the part that tells you what you are actually handling.

Each module holds roughly 4 hours of continuous run time, which works out to about 24 ten-minute sessions between charges. The modules charge in their case in about 3.5 hours. Kineon's guidance is 10–15 minutes per area, up to twice daily.

The Extender Strap is sold separately. The included Adjustable Strap 3.0 reaches 39.5 inches, which covers knees, elbows, shoulders and ankles. The extender adds reach for the back, hip and stomach.

Fit the strap so the modules sit flat against bare skin over the area you are treating — light does not pass through clothing. Run 10 to 15 minutes, no more than twice a day. Consistency across weeks matters more than long single sessions.

Do not look directly into the emitters. Although the diodes are Class 1 rated and safe under normal use, there is no reason to point any light source at the eye.
