The most powerful chiller in this range at 1.5HP, paired with an acrylic shell and three inches of foam insulation. Water turns over four times an hour through a 20-micron filter with UV and ozone doing the sanitation chemically-free.
1.5HP, and four turnovers an hour
Chiller horsepower sets how fast you get to temperature and how well the unit holds it when the lid is off. The LUX runs the full volume through filtration four times an hour, which is what keeps a tub usable between water changes rather than needing a drain.
Chemical-free sanitation
UV and ozone together, with a 10-inch 20-micron filter. No chlorine, no bromine, nothing to dose or balance — which matters more in a tub you sit in at 34°F than in a pool you swim in.

HOW A SESSION RUNS
A session, start to finish.
Nothing to plumb, nothing to drain, nothing to schedule around.
Set and hold
Set the temperature and let the chiller bring the water down. The 1.5HP unit pulls down faster than the 0.8 to 1HP chillers it competes with. Once it is at temperature it stays there, which is the entire argument for a chiller over ice.
Get in
Exhale on entry and keep breathing slowly — the gasp reflex is the part to manage. Two to three minutes is a normal working session; there is no prize for longer.
Get out and rewarm
Dry off and let your body rewarm on its own rather than jumping straight into a hot shower. Shivering is expected and is part of the response.
