Overview
The SaunaLife CL3G is a two-person outdoor sauna from SaunaLife's Cube Series. A full tempered bronze glass front sits in a rounded black frame, with a Thermo-Spruce shell behind it and a shingle roof above. It ships as a kit that two people assemble in about a day.

The exterior is full-length Thermo-Spruce staves, 1.65 in (42 mm) thick. Inside, the benches and backrests are knotless Thermo-Aspen with a satin finish. The roof is a shingle kit with drip rails, and the glass front wall and door are tempered bronze glass.

Thermo-Spruce is spruce that has been heat-treated. SaunaLife lists it as more dimensionally stable and more resistant to decay than untreated spruce, and describes it as splinter resistant and low maintenance. The shingle roof and drip rails carry water off the cabin, and stainless steel bands hold the staves.

Inside, an L-shaped Thermo-Aspen bench runs along the back and side walls with an ergonomic backrest, under a 75.4 in (192 cm) ceiling. The tempered bronze glass door is 23.2 x 66.5 in (59 x 169 cm) and opens onto the outdoors.

Heater and Electrical
- The CL3G comes with your choice of heater above, a 4.5 kW Harvia KIP45B or KIP45W, bundled into the price, or skip it if you already have one.
- SaunaLife publishes 4.5 kW heater sizing for the CL3G. Interior volume is about 93 cu ft (2.6 m3), calculated from the 49.6 x 43.2 x 75.4 in interior. The full glass front loses heat faster than wood, so check any heater's room-size range against its maker's glass allowance.
- Most electric sauna heaters need a 240V hardwired circuit. Confirm the voltage and breaker size on the heater you choose, and have a licensed electrician do the wiring.
- The LED lighting and controls run from a dedicated 120V outlet.
Assembly and Delivery
- Arrives as a do-it-yourself kit on one pallet by LTL freight. SaunaLife states that two people can assemble it in about a day using the included instructions.
- The carrier delivers curbside and lowers the pallet to ground level. Panels are moved to the build site by hand, and most pieces are manageable by two people.
- The installation manual lists these tools: measuring tape, marker pen, circular saw, water level, hammer, drill, crescent wrench, utility knife, rubber mallet and screwdriver.
- Set the cabin on a stable, level foundation. It rests on the included foundation cradles, and the manual recommends treating all wooden parts after assembly.
- Read before you order: CL3G installation manual, LED light system installation manual, SaunaLife limited lifetime warranty. These are SaunaLife's own documents.
Care and Maintenance
- SaunaLife's manual calls for a wood preservative at least once a year, and again after heavy use. Plan for that annual coat.
- First heating: SaunaLife specifies a supervised first heating of two hours to about 210°F (99°C), well ventilated, so the wood can form a protective layer.
- After each session, wipe the benches with a damp cloth and let the cabin dry with the vent open. Do not use running water or a pressure washer, and avoid paints, varnishes and harsh disinfectants.
- Wood is a natural material and may crack or warp slightly as temperature changes. SaunaLife describes this as normal.
- Check the door hinges from time to time. The manual gives a hinge adjustment that uses two metric hex keys (3 mm and 5 mm).
