Medical Saunas Traditional 6 — 3-Person Steam Sauna
Medical Saunas Traditional 6 — 3-Person Steam Sauna Sale price$9,199.00 Regular price$21,999.00
Overview

Three-person traditional steam sauna. 6,000W stove to 194°F. Requires a 220–240V, 40-amp circuit.

Three seats and triple the stove power of the Traditional 5. That power has a consequence: this cabin needs a 220–240V supply at 40 amps, hardwired. It is closer to installing an electric range than plugging in an appliance.

Traditional heat, not infrared

This is a stove and stones cabin reaching 194°F, not an infrared panel cabin running at 150°F. The heat is in the air, which is why it feels different and why it needs real wiring. Pour water on the volcanic rocks with the included bucket and ladle to raise humidity — bucket, rocks and ladle are supplied.

Canadian hemlock, two-wall glass

100% natural Canadian hemlock with a tempered glass door. Hemlock is chosen for traditional cabins because it stays dimensionally stable through repeated heat and humidity cycles and gives off very little aroma at temperature.

Three seats, and a 40-amp circuit

A 6,000W stove is what three seats at 194°F costs. It needs 220–240V at 40 amps, hardwired — the same order of electrical work as an electric range, and the thing to price before the cabin.

HOW A SESSION RUNS

A session, start to finish.

Nothing to plumb, nothing to drain, nothing to schedule around.

  1. Preheat

The stove brings the cabin and the volcanic rocks up together. A traditional cabin takes longer than infrared because the stones are storing the heat you are going to use — set it going and leave it.

  2. Steam

Pour water across the rocks with the ladle. Humidity climbs, the air suddenly reads far hotter on the skin, and the session properly begins. Ten to fifteen minutes is plenty at 194°F.

  3. Cool down

Door open, sit, rehydrate. At traditional temperatures the cool-down matters more than it does in an infrared cabin — do not skip it.

Two-wall glass, 821 pounds

Tempered glass across two walls rather than a single door, which is what stops a three-person cabin feeling like a box.

FAQ

What electrical setup do I need?

The stove is hardwired at 220–240V on a dedicated 40-amp circuit, drawing 6,000W. A separate 120V plug powers the interior lights.

This is not a plug-in appliance. An electrician is required, and the circuit should be specified and priced before the cabin is ordered — it is the step with the longest lead time.

How is this different from an infrared sauna?

A traditional cabin heats the air with a stove and stones and runs at 194°F. An infrared cabin warms the body directly and runs around 150°F. Traditional heat feels hotter and allows steam; infrared runs on a normal outlet. They are different experiences, not better and worse versions of the same one.

Can I use it dry, or does it have to be steam?

Both. Run it dry, or pour water over the volcanic rocks with the included bucket and ladle to raise humidity. The bucket, rocks and ladle are supplied.

What is the warranty?

One year.

Does the brand name mean it is a medical device?

No. Medical Saunas is a brand name. This cabin is a wellness product, not a medical device, and it is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition.

Who should not use this sauna?

Do not use if pregnant, intoxicated, or running a fever. Individuals with cardiovascular conditions including hypertension, hypotension, or congestive heart failure should consult a physician before use. Conditions associated with impaired sweating — including Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, or diabetic neuropathy — require physician clearance. Traditional saunas run far hotter than infrared cabins; start with shorter sessions.
